233. I have a Millrite MV also, and the knee gears work smoothly. My experience with "grinding" feeling gears is that the rubbing surfaces have been worn severely and that makes the grinding feel. The feel of gears that are too tight against each other is generally a clogging in the turning resistance, but not a grinding feel or sound.

32. Apr 6, 2014. #2. Dan, I have a Burke Millrite that is basically the same as the Powermatic. Dimensions are: Base: 30" W X 32" deep. Overall: 54" wide, 46" deep, 73" tall. I have had mine for about twelve years, it has served me well, doesn't have some of the options that a Bridgeport does, but it does everything I have needed to do.
Coincidentally, I also bought one of those mills last week, a later Powermatic model. Most of the information I was able to find came from backissues of Home Shop Machinist and it's sister publication. Have fun with your new toy. I can't wait to get back to mine.
